Overview
Contract manufacturing of private label supplements for Kazakhstan
To sell a food supplement under your own brand in Kazakhstan, the product needs a state registration certificate (SGR) from the Ministry of Health, issued in 13 working days through the portal free of charge, and, as gov.kz has announced, Data Matrix marking from 1 September 2026. Pharma Manufacture, in Mārupe, Latvia, EU, makes the product from 150 units and supplies the manufacturer’s documents.
In practice your importer or distributor in Kazakhstan files the application and holds the certificate. Pharma Manufacture manufactures the product, prepares the label artwork with you and sends the documents your applicant asks for. Our team works in English and Russian.
In Kazakhstan a food supplement is called БАД in Russian and ББҚ (биологиялық белсенді қоспалар) in Kazakh. It is not a medicine, and it may be sold only with a state registration certificate.

This category is wider than finished supplements and includes raw materials.
| Indicator | Value | Period |

| Share imported | 98.9% (242.4 t) | H1 2026 |

| Average price per pack | Over 1,700 tenge, up 15.3% | H1 2026 |

Google search suggestions for Kazakhstan, collected on 30 October 2026, show what shoppers type: magnesium (with B6, citrate, glycinate), omega-3, vitamin D3 (with K2, 5000 IU), zinc picolinate, iron bisglycinate, collagen and effervescent vitamin C. Suggestions show what people type, not how often.
Listings on Kaspi.kz show combinations such as D3 with K2, calcium with magnesium, zinc and D3, and omega-3 with D3, sold as tablets and capsules. Vitamin C is also searched in effervescent form.
Trade searches run in Russian. One of the few business queries in the suggestions is “контрактное производство бадов казахстан” (contract manufacturing of supplements, Kazakhstan). Kazakh-language suggestions on the topic are educational.
Seasonality: a September peak and winter vitamin D
One monthly figure is published: in September 2025 the vitamins on the Kazakh market came to 42.5 tonnes, eleven times the September 2024 level (Kapital.kz, citing national statistics). In search, “витамин д зимой” (vitamin D in winter) returns 10 suggestions, about dose, children and how to make up a shortfall.
A typical run takes about 8 weeks from confirmed order to despatch, and transit comes on top. As a rough guide, stock for September means confirming the order by early June, once the registration certificate is in place.
