Overview
Private label sachet and powder supplement manufacturer in Europe
Pharma Manufacture (Pharma Market Solutions SIA) is a European contract manufacturer of private label and white label supplements; the factory is in Mārupe, Latvia, in the European Union. Among the packaging formats we produce is the single-serve powder sachet — a small sealed pouch holding one portion of powder, opened by tearing the top edge and dissolved in water.
A sachet is chosen when a powder has to be dosed exactly, carried in a pocket or a handbag, or sold as a course of individual servings rather than a jar the customer measures out with a scoop. It is also the usual format for hot drink powders, electrolyte drinks, collagen, sampling packs and subscription boxes.

Contract manufacturing
One supplier from the formula to the finished carton
Pharma Manufacture is a contract manufacturer working with brands, distributors, retailers and companies that want to launch or extend a supplement range under their own private label or white label. In the sachet format we cover the whole path: the formula, the powder, filling and sealing, printing your brand on the sachet, and the outer packaging the product is sold in.
You do not need to source the powder in one place, the laminate in another and the filling line in a third. One partner, one specification, one batch record.
Our products are manufactured and packed in the European Union, under the quality and safety requirements that apply to supplement production.
Format
Sachet size and fill weight
We fill from 4 to 12 grams of powder per sachet. The sachet itself is 50, 55 or 60 mm wide and 60 to 110 mm tall — the height follows the fill weight and the bulk density of the powder, so a light, fluffy powder needs a taller sachet than a dense one at the same weight.

Within that range the sachet is sized to the product rather than the other way round: you tell us the serving and we set the format, not the format limiting the serving.
Material
Three-layer laminate with an aluminium barrier
The sachet is not a single film. It is a laminate of three layers, and each one has a job.

The paper on the outside is what the customer sees and touches, and it is what your brand is printed on — no separate label is glued to the sachet. The aluminium foil in the middle is the barrier: it stops moisture, oxygen and light, which matters for vitamin C, effervescent blends and anything else that clumps or loses potency in a humid cupboard. The sealing film on the inside is what the filling machine welds together so the sachet closes tight on all sides.
This is why a sachet protects a sensitive powder better than a jar that is opened and closed twice a day: each serving meets the air only once, at the moment it is used.

Grippan: one of many sachets we have made
Grippan is a hot drink powder with vitamin C and calcium, filled into a single-serve sachet. One sachet dissolves in a glass of warm water of 200 to 250 ml, and the dosage on the pack is set by age group.
It is a straightforward example of what the format is for: an exact serving, a pack that travels, and a powder that has to stay dry until the moment it is used. Hot drink powders are the best known use of the format — the sachet torn into a mug of hot water — and a shopper needs no explanation of how it works. That is one less thing a new brand has to teach.
Outer packaging
The carton the customer picks up
Sachets are rarely sold one at a time. The product reaches the shelf as a course in a carton, and the carton is as much a part of it as the sachet: it carries the ingredients, the shelf life, the barcode and the first thing the customer sees.

How many sachets go in the box is decided by the course rather than the format — a week, a month, or a few days as a trial pack. We build the carton around the product together with the sachet artwork so the two read as one thing.
Choosing a format
Sachet, doypack or zip-lock bag
All three hold powder, and they answer different questions. A sachet is one serving. A doypack and a zip-lock bag are a supply the customer measures out with a scoop.
| Sachet | Doypack | Zip-lock bag | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Holds | One serving, 4–12 g | A course or a month | A course or a month |
| Dosing | Exact, already measured | By scoop, by the customer | By scoop, by the customer |
| Protection after opening | Nothing is left open | Reclosable, air enters each time | Reclosable, air enters each time |
| Carrying | Pocket, handbag, travel | Stays at home | Stays at home |
| Typical use | Hot drinks, sampling, subscription boxes, courses by the day | Sports nutrition, meal replacement | Sports nutrition, bulk powders |
| Cost per serving | Higher — every serving is its own pack | Lower | Lowest |
In practice many brands use both: a doypack for the regular customer and sachets for trial packs, pharmacy shelves and anything sold by the course. Our packing solutions page covers the other formats we produce.
There is also a limit to the format. Above 12 grams a serving no longer fits a sachet, and that is doypack territory.
And one thing worth saying plainly, because it decides whether the format suits you at all: a sachet order starts at 80,000 sachets. Your artwork is printed on a roll of laminate, and a roll cannot be ordered small — that is what sets the floor, not the powder. So sachets suit a brand that already sells, a distributor or a retail chain rather than a first product finding its first buyers. If your first batch has to be smaller, start with another form and move to sachets when the product is moving: which supplement form starts with the smallest order compares them.
Ready-made formulas or custom development
You can start from a formula that already exists in our catalogue and put your brand on it, or we develop a powder with you from the concept — the active ingredients, the dosage per serving, solubility, taste and how the sachet should behave in water.
The first route is faster and cheaper, because the formula is proven and the paperwork is in place. The second gives you a product a competitor cannot order from the same catalogue. Both end in the same place: a sachet with your name on it, made in the EU.
GMP, HACCP and ISO 22000 certified manufacturing, registered with the US FDA
Our manufacturing processes are certified to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and ISO 22000, and the facility is registered with the US FDA. Every batch is documented and every raw material is traceable. The certificates themselves are on our manufacturing page.
For a sachet this matters twice over: the powder has to be homogeneous so that each 4 to 12 gram serving carries the same declared dose, and the seal has to hold on every sachet in the batch, not on most of them.
Manufactured and packed in the European Union
The factory is in Mārupe, Latvia — two minutes from Riga International Airport and close to the Freeport of Riga. Manufacturing inside the EU means short logistics across Europe, and it means the product is made under European requirements from the start, not adapted to them afterwards.

Frequently asked questions
Common questions about sachet manufacturing
How much powder fits in one sachet?
From 4 to 12 grams. The sachet is 50, 55 or 60 mm wide and 60 to 110 mm tall, and the height is chosen to match the fill weight and how dense the powder is.
What is the sachet made of?
A three-layer laminate: paper on the outside, which carries the print; aluminium foil in the middle as a barrier against moisture, oxygen and light; and a sealing film on the inside that the filling machine welds shut.
Can my brand be printed directly on the sachet?
Yes. The print goes on the paper layer of the laminate, so the sachet carries your design itself and no separate label has to be applied.
When is a sachet better than a jar or a doypack?
When the serving has to be exact without the customer measuring it, when the product travels, when a course is sold by the day, and when the powder is hygroscopic — in a sachet each serving meets the air only once.
Can you develop the powder, or do I have to supply a formula?
Either way. You can take a ready-made formula from our catalogue under your own brand, or we develop a custom powder with you — active ingredients, dose per serving, solubility and taste.
Where are the sachets manufactured?
In the European Union. The factory is in Mārupe, Latvia, and the products are manufactured and packed in the EU under the applicable requirements for supplement production.
What certifications does the manufacturing hold?
GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and ISO 22000. Separately, the facility is registered with the US FDA — that is a registration, not a certification. Scans of the three certificates and of the FDA registration are on our manufacturing page.
What is the minimum order quantity for sachets?
From 80,000 sachets. The floor is set by the laminate: your design is printed on a roll, and the roll and the powder batch are ordered together. Eighty thousand sachets is about 2,700 packs of a thirty-day course, or 8,000 ten-sachet trial packs.
How long does a sachet order take to produce?
About eight weeks. The laminate carrying your design has to be printed before filling can start, so the artwork needs to be final early in the project.
What is the shelf life of a powder sachet?
24 months as standard, and for some formulas it can be shorter — the powder decides that as much as the pack does. The aluminium barrier is what makes the standard term possible: until the sachet is torn open, the powder meets no moisture, oxygen or light.
What drives the price of a sachet?
The formula first — the active ingredients and the dose per serving. After that the laminate paper: a thicker paper costs more and looks more substantial in the hand, a thinner one costs less.
